01 / FEATURED PROJECT

Task Manager API

A deployed application.
From authentication to delivery.

THE ENGINEERING

Behind the application.

Authentication & authorization

Spring Security validates JWT bearer tokens for protected endpoints. Passwords are stored as BCrypt hashes. Task operations check ownership so users can access only their own tasks.

API & persistence

The REST API supports task creation, updates, deletion, search, status filtering, and pagination. Request validation and centralized exception handling provide consistent responses. PostgreSQL stores users and tasks; Flyway versions database schema changes.

Testing & deployment

Automated unit, controller, and integration tests verify application behavior, authentication, and task ownership. GitHub Actions runs CI checks, and merges to main trigger production deployments. Docker packages the backend for Railway; Vercel hosts the React frontend.

02 / ABOUT ME

Technical foundation.
Human perspective.

I’m Corneille, a Computer Science graduate focused on backend engineering. I enjoy understanding how the pieces fit together—from an API request to the database underneath it.

At Wealthsimple, I work in client experience on the Premium team. That customer-facing perspective keeps me close to the people on the other side of a product.

I’m building on my Java and Spring Boot foundation while developing Linux, cloud, and DevOps skills. My goal is to understand not just how to build software, but how to deploy and operate it well.

Let’s connect.

I’m seeking backend and software engineering opportunities in Canada.
My focus is Java and Spring Boot, with continued growth in cloud and DevOps.
